I can’t see certain transactions in my graph
Updated over a year ago

This is what happened!

  • You have your income/salary paid directly to your mortgage account or offset account or Savings account.

  • You can see the transactions for your income in the Transactions screen. But you can’t see your income in the Expenses graph (How You Spend), even though the transactions are categorised as Income.

  • You don’t know where your transactions are either in the graph or in the detailed income screen.

Did you know

  • By design, certain accounts are not included in the Expenses graph. They are mortgage, loan, and investment.

  • By design, pending transactions are not shown in the How You Spend area. The reason is: The pending transactions will get removed from the bank system and will be replaced by newly posted transactions with exactly the same information. To avoid double counting, the system only shows transactions when they are in ‘posted’ status.

  • We had a beta feature that allows you to see pending transactions in the How You Spend Area. Unfortunately, when you have this beta feature enabled, you are unable to see income transactions that are paid directly to your savings account.

Here are a few tips to help you resolve your issue:

If you have income that paid directly to your offset account, and you don’t see your income in the How You Spend graph, it could be because of your offset account type

  • Go to your offset account details (Portfolio > Accounts > Offset account)

  • Open Account settings screen > Account type (Underneath the account name & logo)

  • Check the account type

  • If the account type is other, change it to Savings type and Save

  • Refresh your app by close the app completely and open it again. (Sometimes you need to log out and log to refresh). Pull down the accounts screen to sync your account.

  • Check the How You Spend area to see if income transactions appear

Still having a problem?

We’ve acknowledged this and agreed it is not a great experience for users.

We’re working hard on a big improvement, a brand new feature that will replace the How You Spend area. It’s expected to potentially solve your problem.

Unfortunately, from now until then, you still have to live with the current How You Spend feature, which means you still cannot see your income in the graph.

The ETA for the new feature to be launched is scheduled to Q3.2023
